A campus ministry at Oral Roberts University and the University of Tulsa. We study the Church Fathers, pray the Office, and follow the way of Christ together.
Who We Are
Come and See.
Cranmer House is a community of students at Oral Roberts and the University of Tulsa who take the historic Christian faith seriously. We read Scripture the way the Church always has, expecting to meet God in it.
Our life together is built on prayer, mostly from the Book of Common Prayer, whose prayers reach back to the earliest days of the Church. Once you've prayed the Daily Office for a while, it starts praying you. We also read through the Church Fathers together in the Dead Theologians Society, because the people who shaped the faith in its first centuries still have plenty to teach us. The church calendar orders the rest, so the year has a shape to it that's more than midterms and finals.
Some of us grew up in church and wanted something deeper. Some of us showed up with more questions than answers. Both are welcome here.

What We Do

The Daily Office
We pray Morning Prayer together from the Book of Common Prayer once a week on each campus and encourage everyone to pray the Office daily on their own.

The Fathers
Our Dead Theologians Society meets to read the great teachers of the Early Church together.

Fellowship
Having coffee, eating together, and building friendships that help us grow in Christ.

Eucharist
We celebrate the Eucharist twice a week at Saint John's and monthly at Sharp Chapel at TU. Everything else we do flows from the Lord's Table. It's the most important thing we do.

Our Priest & Campus Missioner
Fr. Thom Crowe
Fr. Thom is an Episcopal priest, a former ORU student, and our chaplain. He came to the Anglican tradition the long way, after serving as an Orthodox deacon, and he's still a little amazed that God put him back on the ORU campus. He serves as an Associate Priest at St. John's Episcopal Church and spends a lot of time thinking about the Church Fathers, the beauty of the liturgy, and whether coffee counts as a spiritual discipline. He's always up for a conversation, about theology, books, or anything else you can think of.
